A little girl with her new Mordor Gun Dog

I met Charlie in the fall of 2006 when he brought a dog over to the US for my close friend Dr. Shelly Stienmetz. I had a dog at the time but spoke to Charlie and we briefly discussed a dog some time in the future.

In 2007 I lost my old Springer. I contacted Charlie and arranged a trip to Scotland to meet some of his dogs. Having only met me once, a year earlier, he welcomed me to stay at his home. I had the oportunity to watch Charlie train and had a good look at a couple of dogs available to me.

I was incredibly impressed by all that I saw. The devotion and skill that goes into what he and his staff do with the dogs convinced me, so I booked Polly there and then. He advised she would be ready to come to me 6 months later.

All arrangments were made by Charlie and he and Polly arrive in February 2008. She came straight off the plane and walked at heel out of the airport with no lead! Amazing. She lived in the house from day one, never a mess or a problem. Charlie spent a week working the dog for me showing me the comands over and over. Then, while off training Shelly, I was left alone. It went great.

We had a few teething problems, but no problem for Charlie. He flew back for two days, but within 15 seconds he had put his finger on the problem and corrected me. It was my fault not the dog’s - as Charlie always says, “ There is no such thing as bad dogs – just bad owners!”

Polly is now a great member of my family and my loved by my daughter who calls Polly her sister. We have ordered another springer from Charlie - the new one has a lot to live up to!

Charlie deserves to do very well and I will strive to help it happen. What started of as a business deal, has become the start of a hopefully life long friendship.
